As I see it, this is John's meet if he wants any car to be welcome then that's his call. He's welcome to advertise it on here whatever he chooses to call it and OSF owners that are going should be aware in future that other cars are welcome. It doesn't hurt anyone to see other classic cars and turn a blind eye to the stuff you don't like.

I recently went to a local OSF meet down here and of the promised attendees, I was the only one to turn up. I'd have been glad of company of any other classic car owners............................but would probably have driven off if it had been a semi modern mobile speaker set I must admit

Well I think John has done a great job ...<br /> We just have to continue to promote OSF and what applies to us .... you will always get those that turn up that don't fit the criteria and it's difficult to police .... I would like to see other people put in so much time and effort ..... well done John on such a well supported event

Agreed :-) - John has always worked hard to sort out these meets and it's great that they have always been popular.

Looking forward to the summer show as John was telling me the venue was superb!

Yeah when I get a chance tonight I'll upload the vid of him lighting up the tyres!

Also good to catch up with Gary with his new Anglia, it's a good'un, & as solid as they come with a good engine. I can some more tweaks coming in soon!

Absolutely agree with this, I just assumed (wrongly) that as it was advertised OSF meet, then that's what it would exclusively be.

With regards to policing it as Jo mentioned, I agree its not for event organisers to sort, it should be down to the car owners to show some respect to the osf forum and abide by their rules if attending an osf meet. Maybe I'm in the minority with that thinking though.

Again I'd like to reiterate I meant no disrespect to John and I apologise whole heatedly if I offended him with my comments regarding the show. We all know how much he puts Into making wingspan such a memorable event. (Proven by the numbers that turn out to it).

John, I wish you all the best for the future shows and meets at the new venue.

1st I would like to thank Cossie333 for inviting us to this show/meet and it was good to see some nice old Skool ford's,

I'm the owner of the black Mondeo ( the demo audio car), sorry that I seem to be a bad talking point on your forum, we did not now that this meet was for old Skool fords, on our web site FMOC it was not stated that this venue was strictly for old Skool ford's.

The audio was only on for 5 mins just to quickly demo it, because some of the Guys/Girls from the show ask for it to be turned on.

Sorry if it was an inconvenience, but it was a good show.

No apology necessary, the organiser of the event was happy for all models and marques to come but some of our members weren't aware of that and thought it was an OSF event only.

Glad you enjoyed the day, now get out there and find yourself an OSF of your own

i feel so sad that someone felt they had to come on here to say sorry  let me just say this the wingspan opens at 12 they asked me to get as many cars here and have a good send off for the old club they got out of bed at 8 in the morning to get the club open for us FOR FREE i am sure they would have been happy with me if i only had old skool fords at the event all 30 of them on a field which can handle 300 cars i was only happy for the turn out of all the cars which came i would have wished for more i do feel a bit sad as well i ran 2 days this month and not a person not one complained to me about anything that was either there or what had gone on i keep hearing people say about the stand at ford fair with 130 cars on it well i for one would have loved this turn out at the wingspan on any of the meets which could have held that many and more so them two cars did not slip under the radar they were fine sure if there was too many new stuff there in prefrance to old skool i would not of had them on the grass but i did not the grass was empty

A lot has been said here by different people with equally different opinions. Up here in Scotland we are not blessed with as many shows let alone OSF shows and I find myself searching many sites looking for anything within travelling distance that I could attend. And that does mean anything. I like my OSF but I also love to see like minded enthusiasts showing off their pride and joy and whenever possible I will go along. Each is entitled to their own opinion and we should respect each others. I would not wish to attempt to organise a meet and my hat goes of to John and all the others who spend their own time and often money doing this. I'm just thankful for the chance to attend any show and also to visit several forums to read and see pics of other cars.

evening , Chelsea cruise on a light June evening with warm weather , all indoors worried that

someone might follow their precious Escorts home to steal them .

What there was though ,was a load of petrol heads of all descriptions having a great time !

Nice to see you up there John and thanks for all of your hard work at the wingspan meets  :)

John has organised a great show and has dedicated alot of time and effort into this :-)

I help organise the west Sussex Rs group and it takes alot of time to sort stuff out and arrange stuff .

4 Cossie came to the first show a few years back and John asked if we could park outside which was ok with us and we understood . The next year we where invited and had a stand and got good and bad feedback . That's why I take my hat off to John as he has tried to please everyone . My Cossie is 25years old now but does this class as retro ?

Just bought a old skool too

Maybe at the next show the new skool fords could have there own area to please all .

Huge thanks from me to you though John , you are doing a great job .
