5tox
Got a few more done today, for every one i created there were 2 on the scrap pile. Was really difficult to get the weld to penetrate enough without blowing holes (my welder ain't great but cant complain as my brother gave a fiver for it) These are really growing on me, at first i liked the idea but wasn't 100% sure... now i love them! puddy
Like this??? Heres my attempt using mild steel sheet cut to size and then wrapped around some exhaust pipe until it was perfectly round then the two ends tacked together I have not yet tacked it to the front panel as i may just buy some perfectly round 60mm tube to begin with (will make the job much easier) nice and subtle from the front, but still unique No its not Like they said , do it how YOU want it and not other people want it . puddy
5tox
Cheers for all your input guys, ive just finished the last one and glued them all in place with some stuff called 'sticks like shit' by bostik i think, the guy at the shop said they will stick just as strong as sticking a few tack welds in there will let it dry in the sun today and maybe get a coat of white primer on there so you can see it in a colour rather than red oxide i love the new look, im glad i stuck at it

garyv6100e
I like it, they return in to the panel the same amount as the 2 front panel slits, nice work
5tox
Yeah i see your point, although it was done inadvertantly i think it helps make them look like they belong there
