Admin Vista Posted August 13, 2013 Admin Report Posted August 13, 2013 There's nothing safety related to worry about during the strip down so if you can undo nuts and bolts then you can strip a car. Just make sure you photograph and catalogue everything. However, putting it back together safely isn't so straightforward but with a bit of care and attention, asking lots of questions and reading up on each stage out of a manual isn't impossible for a novice. It would pay to have an expert on hand (or nearby) for things you aren't sure of though. 1
Muzzman Posted August 13, 2013 Author Report Posted August 13, 2013 So, rightly or wrongly I think I'm going to have a crack at this. I may have found somewhere to do the work, my Mothers friend has a farm so as long as the area I can use is dry and rat free then space shouldn't be a problem. A friend of a friend has restored two Mexico's and he's agreed to give me advice, he lives a mile up the road, I'm going round to look at his cars on Thursday and finally my step father is reasonably handy with a spanner, the only downside where he's concerned is he's so bloody slow. Might as well have a crack 1
