Which alloys for mk2 cortina?

I need at set of alloys and tyres for my mk2 cortina,what size can i fit?the cars a 1300 on standered suspension. What would be the best tyre size?ive been looking on the midlands web site at the Dunlop d1 replicas,but I like the look of the 7x13 rs 4 spokes,minilights or revolites ,would these fit ok?or would they be to wide?cheers Paul.

7 x 13  with 175 / 50 x 13 fit on ok you may want to lower it a bit though

I think the 50 profile looks too small on the cortina personally

if  i lower the car on 7x13 alloys,will the wheels not start to catch on the arches ect?

i now what you mean, i had 50 profile on my mk2 escort with standard ride hight,and the wheels look lost in the arches.

i really like these wheels  but i think they might look to thin and sit to deep in the arches?unless i could fit some wheel spacers to push them out abit? there 5.5x13 from midland wheels.

My mate runs a mk2 tine which has been lowered fitted with 7x13 rev minators and 185/60x13 tyres and looks spot on, we also tried my 4 spoke revs in white and superlites all in 7s but the minators looked just right

Here is my Mk2 Cortina Deluxe on 7x13 superlights with 175/50x13 tyres to see what it looked like. Fronts ok, rear has too much gap for my liking.  Car is also lowered 2" all round. Hope this gives you an idea.

like 13" myself.... but the arch must be filled...but smaller the wheel , smaller the brakes....!

some of my mk2 with different wheel/tyres the D1s have 185/60s the cosmics 165/70s the 6x13 superlights 165s and Lotus steels 175/70s.

i like those wheels and they were my first choice,but they look abit to small in the arch's and iam not planning in lower my car so they would look even smaller on mine.i think i will have the same problems with all the wheels i want like these or the revolites in 7x13 that they will look to small.

my car has 2" lowering blocks and std front springs, got some- 2"front springs but think it be too low also got 21/4" coilover kit too fit when i get chance. the back wheels are in a little so ive got longer wheel studs and 10mm spacers to fit at some time.

This is my two door 7x15 front 9x15 rear 195 45 15 & 245 40 15 cr500 tyres, its on a narrow atlas but std tubs.
