bob wiggins Posted September 5, 2013 Report Posted September 5, 2013 Does anybody know where I can get this done to a type 9 locally ? Thanks in advance
iandq Posted September 6, 2013 Report Posted September 6, 2013 there's been one like this on ebay for weeks, the guy wants a lot of money for it ( about 600 I think ) perhaps he would take an offer? alpha welding in bensham lane Croydon would probably do the welding up but you would need to do the cutting etc yourself I would think. any machine shop would shorten the selector shaft I would think. cheers, ian.
bob wiggins Posted September 6, 2013 Author Report Posted September 6, 2013 Cheers ill give them a ring
bob wiggins Posted September 6, 2013 Author Report Posted September 6, 2013 Anyone know how much has to come off the selector shaft ??
mk2 mike Posted September 6, 2013 Report Posted September 6, 2013 Excuse my ignorance but why do you want it shortened?

theloudboy Posted September 7, 2013 Report Posted September 7, 2013 I have seen this done on type 9 boxes on 3J website
bob wiggins Posted September 7, 2013 Author Report Posted September 7, 2013 Thank you chaps , I've been in contact with 3j but was wondering if there was anywhere nearer
72mk1escort Posted September 8, 2013 Report Posted September 8, 2013 I think i would just do the mod on the tunnel as its alot cheaper and if the box goes bang you can replace it quickly and cheaply you can always revert it back if needed anyway if you cut it out and turn it 180 degrees using the template that retroford used. 1
