frankthefencer Posted September 30, 2013 Report Posted September 30, 2013 This is now the worst time of the year when the nights start getting dark earlier,you've got to save hard for Xmas but the worst thing is all the plonkers that have a off but won't take it out just in case it gets wet,or cold,or don't want to use the headlights,wipers. These people know who they are they get right on my txxs Anyway rant over for the rest of us we will still use rain or shine or even some sideways snow READ. This does not come across as banter . You labelled owners of OSF who don' t use their cars in winter as plonkers and also " ranted" that they get on your tits. That's not banter. You overstepped the mark and are now back peddling at a great rate and trying to make light of it. That's MY opinion.

I am a fair weather driver and I don't actually care what people think of that cos I have more interesting things to worry about ... my car is not concourse but I have spent too much on it so I wouldn't take it out in shit weather on purpose. Frank - your mk2 is stunning and you certainly don't hold back on the strip so you clearly take risks and enjoy it to the max. Sidpf - I commend you on having the guts to drive your OSF all year round. Like I said ... each to their own, -plonkers or not!

I am not offended at all but I do not believe Frank has OVER restored his car, nor have others. They have just done what I for one dream of doing one day and they certainly don't deserve to be labelled or criticized for doing so. sidpf - you don't need to list your postcode mate. Il be making the christmas gathering if i have to push it there myself!!

bashbymk2 Posted October 5, 2013 Report Posted October 5, 2013 I don't see the problem in using it in the wet however when I get back I'd stick it in the garage, turn the radiators right up, wipe it all off and then stick a de humidifier on! Old fords never die - but they rot like hell!
