Hadn't Realised!

Didn't realise till now I was yet to post an intro so here goes!!

 

Here we go. 

 

This could be boring, but some of you may like to read it.

 

My dad rang the man and asked if anyone had viewed the car and if so had they found anything wrong with it, the bloke said that someone had viewed the car but said that the price was too high and tried to haggle him down.

As the auction was closing with no bids, we were faced with a dilemma. 

We had 2 options, either to bid and risk it, or to let the auction end, view it afterwards and make him an offer.

If we left it, there were 4 possible outcomes.

-The bloke that had already seen the car would be in the stronger position to make him an offer and could get it for less before we had a chance to view it and make an offer.
-The bloke could change his mind and place a bid in the dying seconds and nick it from us.
-Someone else could decide to pop a bid on it.
-It could all go to plan.

 

After considering my options I decided to just go for it and take the risk, we bid in the dying seconds and won the auction with no other bids.

 

When we collected it we got a bit more of the story, from the 1 previous owners son.
 

The previous owner had passed at the age of 93 having owned the car for 33 years, from new.
 

He'd kept the car in the garage and only took it out when the roads were dry.

If it was raining and his wife wanted to go to the bingo he made her get the bus.

 

A few month down the line I passed my test, insured it and well, here it is:

Since then, (2 years ago!) I've bought an escort project which will be commencing some time soonish (within the next six months hopefully!)
