SmokeEm Posted November 14, 2013 Report Posted November 14, 2013 Smurfs name is Scott by the way. You can now use it in future posts that you stir up in...
sidpf1972 Posted November 14, 2013 Report Posted November 14, 2013 I think im going to leave you boys and girls to calm down and call it a night, when you have had a good night sleep have a look at what language you have used at me and read the first post which I will repeat THERE ARE NO OSF MEETS IN THE MIDS good night scott, and all you buddys
SmokeEm Posted November 14, 2013 Report Posted November 14, 2013 Night Sid. George Clarke now on CH4+1 so I am off too..
mk2 mike Posted November 14, 2013 Report Posted November 14, 2013 Sid as said if there's no meets in your area why don't you organise one? You might find there are more osf I'm the mids area that you realise, this was certainly the case when tallpaull set up the Essex meets, lots of unseen cars/members showed up. I think the Xmas bash location is probably due to the fact that those who set up and run the site (although its obviously not near all the mods) chose an area close to them, and why not? If it was my site i'd certainly organise the do near me. By the way, cockneys are East Londoners, the Xmas do is in Surrey, over 40 miles away from London.
rallyesport04 Posted November 14, 2013 Report Posted November 14, 2013 do something about it then if you want a meet in the midlands find a nice local pub make sure its okay with them for a osf meet post it on here an like minded midland people should turn up an chat about classic fords if you do nothing about it it wont happen no one from london scotland or even malta are going to arrange a meet in your area for your the world is your oyster only you can make what you want of it
over_head_cam Posted November 14, 2013 Report Posted November 14, 2013 You can read I guess. I copied what you wrote and pasted it in my earlier posts. It DOES NOT say what you 'think' it does. It says "it's all about the cockneys"+ I can see it, with my eyes, I'm not lying, that's what it says. You followed it by saying in a sarcastic way that you believed that there were no meets up 'your' way, but what you claim you wrote, you did not. I think you should go and work out the difference between what you write, and what you think you can get away with as an explanation of it.
Admin Mk2Jo Posted November 14, 2013 Admin Report Posted November 14, 2013 To answer your post mk2ben, it's a quieter time of year for meets at the moment - many (not all) tuck their cars away for the winter. However, if you keep an eye on the Meets/Events section in the new year for something in your area, or, consider putting up a decent venue with good parking and asking if anyone is interested in a meet. In any case, as you can see, we are a lively forum! So, welcome aboard 3
over_head_cam Posted November 14, 2013 Report Posted November 14, 2013 Yeah, sorry Ben. We kind of hijacked your post didn't we
sidpf1972 Posted November 15, 2013 Report Posted November 15, 2013 yeah ben you will have to excuse some of the language I use on here, I'm just not very clever and so have a limited range of words to use 1
Monkfish Posted November 15, 2013 Report Posted November 15, 2013 I haven't seen any bad language, which is unfortunate as I love a bit of the old potty mouth. The only offensive behaviour I've seen is the xenophobia expressed by you towards our good, upstanding residents of the home counties. In other news, I'm frankly appalled that nobody has seen fit to organise a club meeting within 5 miles of my house. 2
XjamesX Posted November 15, 2013 Report Posted November 15, 2013 Oh dear Ben, where about in the Midlands are you located? There are meets in the summer at the Bowling Green in Stoke Prior, The Moat House in Alcester, The Black Boy in Knowle and at The Old Waggon and Horses on the Stourbridge Road between Kidderminster and Stourbridge. Some of these run through the winter as well on a sunday morning. If you want anymore details about any, like times and dates then just let me know. These are NOT old skool ford meets sadly and are just for all classic cars, however they are great to get out to and normally there are a fair few of us there in OSF's so don't let that put you off. As for Midland to Wales, Rossmk2 organises that, i'm sure he'll be doing it again this year (normally in may I believe) and he'll post all the details and a list on here closer to the time. XjamesX 2
