Admin Vista Posted January 16, 2014 Admin Report Posted January 16, 2014 My trusted steed of just over 4 years is up for sale. It's a carbon black 535D touring with 105'000 miles and FSH, all of which is by BMW bar the last oil service (6000 miles ago) which was done by my local garage using BMW LL04 spec 5 / 30 oil. During my ownership (I am the third log book Owner but the second in practical terms as it was a dealer demo car) I have changed the oil every 10k as opposed to BMW's 20k interval. It's a well specced car with the following optional extras: Adaptive Xenons (BMW visibility pack) Heated front seats Dual climate control Panoramic roof Genuine BMW detachable tow bar Professional Navigation Bluetooth telephone connectivity (media pack) Also during my ownership I have added I-Pod control through I -drive (genuine BMW system replacing CD changer) Tweeters in front doors Privacy film to rear and rear side glass The usual E61 weak points have been addressed, i.e. Inlet manifold replaced by BMW under AUC warranty (about 2 years ago) The Aerial diversity unit has been replaced by the newer type with improved sealing (also under AUC Warranty) The rear sun roof drain non return valves have been removed (no issues with them blocking up) The rear suspension compressor (and associated crappy hose) was replaced under AUC warranty in 2010 The roof cable to the rear screen was professionally repaired by BMW under AUC warranty The Auto box torque convertor was replaced last year and the box oil and filter changed at the same time The car looks and drives like a car much younger than its nine years and 105k miles but does have a few marks on the exterior. Two of the wheels have minor kerbing and there is a small scuff on the nearside front bumper corner. I was quoted £65 to repair this and just haven't got around to it. MOT and Tax are short (February and end January respectively) but I would put a full MOT on it for the right price. I'm confident it will pass. Last year the car had new tyres all round new front brake pads and a new battery properly coded in. It has been a wonderful car to own, the first 12 months brought up a few issues that BMW resolved promptly under warranty but since then, but for the torque convertor, no issues at all. The car is located near Plymouth and viewing is welcome. Please PM for contact details £8495 ono Sorry, these are the only pics I have on my computer just now, I can take more if it ever stops raining!
