irishtorag Posted April 12, 2014 Report Posted April 12, 2014 FAST 1ST 2ND 3RD stick A 1300 box in her
gwtaylor22 Posted April 12, 2014 Report Posted April 12, 2014 I have a 1600 sport gt box in mine 4 speed and slightly closer than normal 4 speed box Quick enough off the mark but remember rear CWP makes a difference aswell
James HPE Motorsport Posted April 12, 2014 Report Posted April 12, 2014 2000E box has best ratios if you can find one in good nick. 1600 sport also has nice ratios but a little fragile if you want to give it a hard time. As mentioned, the easiest way to improve acceleration is change the final drive ratio!
bradderz Posted April 13, 2014 Author Report Posted April 13, 2014 thanks guy very helpful and what do you think wud be best for the diff for quick off the line get up and go.
aardvark101 Posted April 13, 2014 Report Posted April 13, 2014 2000e 3 rail box will tolerate up to around 180 brake, good ratios, no 5th so crusin aint the best, as to a diff 4.1 will scorch it round the lanes, i run a 3.9 in my Anglia so its a halfway house of pretty quick off the line but not revin the nuts off on the Motorway
442 Posted April 17, 2014 Report Posted April 17, 2014 I ran a 2000e with my x flow and loved it a great box, when changed to zetec kept the 2000e in instead of 5spd. 175 50 13s and 900 decibels at 70 lol with 3.9 diff! Just bought a quaife 3.54 lsd should drop me a few revs
bradderz Posted April 21, 2014 Author Report Posted April 21, 2014 thanks guys think a 2000E box will hav to be sourced!!
