on my mk1 escort, is there a later version I can just bolt up that's more secure?

 

or are they all pretty much the same?

As far as standard ford fit of the period goes, they're all pretty much the same security wise but I don't think others physically fit anyway.

You need to use the Mk1 one as the Mk2 is slightly different and I don't think they fit.

 

Key wise it makes no difference as im guessing they just snapped the lock casing off ............ you may want to just check the column casing as ive seen the damaged in the past where they have been forced.
