DHL had apparently tried posting the items but to no avail so they had been returned to the depot, where i collected them today. They could have been collected anytime ofcourse!!! Which is what I'd do if I thought it was a "scam" but appreciate this isn't what should be NEEDED. I haven't been about online as sorting out some personal "problems", and a funeral. However my flat mate uses my laptop and is on turbo sport and other sites and high lighted me to my messages. I've now been given another TOTALLY different address to send the items to?! I did offer to give money back as soon as i found out the items had not been delievered. As for quotes such as "Send a couple of six footers round..." I'm 6'6" and 23 Stone. Go ahead. And most weekends my car is parked at my parents... feel free to damage that if that's what you people are into. I have to say tho, I'm now glad to be selling my "Old Skool Ford" and out of this "community". Thanks, Jon

My flatmate did his best toi keep on top of things but isn't my secretary. I only returned yesterday and have sorted this now. MK2STU shall recieve the goods Monday latest, and has been offered his money back. I would like to scream obscenities at all of you, but I shalln't. I can understand how it MAY look, but I had more on my mind than checking the OSF forum. Should I have been emailed (?!), I'd have done my best from there to sort it, despite having much much more important things to sort. Regards...

If the shoe was on the other foot and you were responding to this post I'm sure you would have said something similar given the limited facts that were available. 99% of the people on this site have our best interests at heart so don't blame them.

I didnt hear from dhl or yourself, tried plenty of times to get hold of you and left loads of messages. If you had problems you know i would have understood, i offered to collect them too. Hope everything works out for you and we can forget this. We are a community and we stick together, thats why people respond so strongly. Seriously gutted it come to this, good luck with selling the motor, i'll bell you when they arrive, perhaps we can have a chat.

Admin Mk2Jo Posted February 16, 2007 Admin Report Posted February 16, 2007 Sadly we all have problems in our lives and I know from past PM's I have sent to you with friendly banter that you don't come on the board that often but you must appreciate how it looked. If Stu's cheque was cashed at the beginning of January (6 weeks ago) and you weren't replying to any of his texts or PM's then how would you feel if it had been you? You have also said that you went on the computer to collect your e-mails, then you must have had time to pop on here when you knew that you still had items to be sent/delivered to OSF members (Stu & Diffed that we know of). Hope you get your life sorted, it's a shame that you are selling your OSF and I hope that you get a good price for all the hard work that has gone into it

I sold lots on ebay last year and everying I post goes recored delivery Royal Mail, I sold over 600 items when I finished bike racing all over the world inc China / Japan / USA and every item got to its destination, some took a few days, Canada took a month, but they all got delivered... it aint that hard.... and its the sellers role to ensure the items get delivered and chase missing items.......

60ftman Posted February 17, 2007 Report Posted February 17, 2007 That's the problem with forum's like this: it's easy to character-asassinate some-one instantly, and then everyone jumps on the band-wagon. Presumed guilty whatever the reason or outcome. Like's been said we all have problems from time to time, and generally these things are resolved without bloodshed. I do a fair bit of ebaying, but I can honestly say that I have only been 'not paid' on a couple of occasions, and as I still had the items it was no real big issue. I've also had things I bought arrive VERY late, but it all arrives eventually and you have to swing with the punches. I can understand the frustration of not recieveing the promised cheque/part, I just hope that JohnnyT doesn't get pissed off and leave the ranks. Similar thing was done to me on another forum when I voiced certain points of view. I had a million PM's of support, but those people were sadly missing in the open forum. I can vouch for the fact that it makes you feel very persecuted. Don't go JohnnyT.
diffed Posted February 19, 2007 Report Posted February 19, 2007 Right my stuff arrived today after jonny pm'ed and said i should have them by monday latest and they were on the door step tonight when i got home Have to say hope every thing sorts it's self out jonny , if i was in the same situation i think it would have been the least of my worrys , but people worry when things are late because e/bay has some scams sorry a LOT of scams . Thanks for the offer on parts you have in the shed let me know by pm or e/mail and we'll do a deal . Glad to see e/bay left the car on for long enough for you to get a sale . Best Wishes diffed (JJ)
