mk2 stu Posted February 14, 2007 Report Posted February 14, 2007 To all members be aware when buying items from other so called members! I paid another member by a cheque sent in the post for some items, this member JONNYT has since ignored all my calls and texts and not sent the items through. I have his address and details and will now have to pursue this matter personally! Make sure you check people are good for it before handing over money!! Any help on this matter will be appreciated thanks. Remember we're all in this together, thats what its all about, I feel priviliged to be able say i'm part of this! OldskoolFord, theres nothing better!!!
Admin Mk2Jo Posted February 14, 2007 Admin Report Posted February 14, 2007 Have you contacted your bank to see if they can help with recovering the money maybe?
mk2 stu Posted February 14, 2007 Author Report Posted February 14, 2007 Am in the process of finding out my options, the legal ones first! Its just annoying more than anything, he was a nice guy to chat to and was really keen on his car! I just dont get some people,I always try to do the right thing by people so i dont get it when others dont!
Admin Vista Posted February 14, 2007 Admin Report Posted February 14, 2007 Not good practice and not what I see as the spirit of classic car ownership. Poor Show Jonnyt, have you got the bottle to respond here?

yodi Posted February 14, 2007 Report Posted February 14, 2007 also just seen this in his profile on TS Last Activity: 10-02-2007 01:41 Yodi
Andy504 Posted February 15, 2007 Report Posted February 15, 2007 If you have his address, then go round with a couple of six footers and ask nicely for your bits or money back Sometimes the only way wiv some people or to$$ers as the case may be, sorry jonny if your genuine, but the buyer is gettin distressed now, and it makes others uncertain about sending money to other members. I have jus took a cheque from another member for some goods and he has done it through the club, not even spoke to the guy on the phone. I would like to think this is what the club is about, helping others out with cheaper than fleabay parts when you have finished your osf.
MK5 Posted February 15, 2007 Report Posted February 15, 2007 i have a similar problem on another forum - member swears he posted cheque back last Friday... hasn't arrived yet
Pipster007 Posted February 15, 2007 Report Posted February 15, 2007 Thats low, when someone can scam you like that
Admin Mk2Jo Posted February 15, 2007 Admin Report Posted February 15, 2007 Yes it is Pip .... especially when it's people that you feel you know from OSF ..... I hope you get your money back I dunno, you think you can trust people and they turn out to be thieving scum

Pipster007 Posted February 15, 2007 Report Posted February 15, 2007 I know roughly where his car is parked at weekends. The issue is with the owner. Not the car
