Its seems like he needs someone at the front of house doing the sales whilst he can concentrate on doing his thing! Jim he probably has 100% feedback on Ebay as he is just selling what he has already produced. Where the complaints about him seem to arise from taking money off people and then taking months to deliver. What fooks me off, is the prices these companies charge to do a re-trim in Beta! All the trimmers claim to be using a NOS beta product which seems a bit far fetched to me, and its probably re-manufactured! But my point is that for half the price you could have the seats re-trimmed in nappa leather (although its obviously not in keeping with a resto).
Ray Posted January 20, 2015 Report Posted January 20, 2015 trust me, stay away from this man, its not only a time and money issue, its shoddy work as well, he is far from good at what he does and it seems he dosnt do most of it, he ships it out, if you complain he then disappears it is not his main business, as i understand it, he has a full time job elsewhere, and does this when he is not on the road i had to threaten him with the police, trading standards and a closing down order just to get a text response from him 14 months on i have most of the stuff, but its cost me a fortune sending a driver in there virtually every day for 6months, but ive now given up i have to have the soddy work he done on the seats re-covered properly, the beta he used was thin rubbish, and what he called the correct blue hue on a black seat was actually a blue cloth, totally the wrong colour and stitched wrong it would not suprise me to see someone get heavy with him he dosnt give out his address if he can help it, and has recently moved both business and private address as well STAY WELL CLEAR 2

But there must have been some appeal for you to purchase in the first place? ie. seen his work previously???
luckyjim Posted January 23, 2015 Report Posted January 23, 2015 Ray,if you need a top class trimmer you have neil tadman down your way.he trimmed some seats for my ford popular when he started out and I used those seats in various cars for many many years and they still looked as new the day they went(in a sold car)as the day he trimmed them.probably not cheap now(what trimmer is?) but top quality work.

Which is foolish when that sort of work comes by word of mouth. Thats probably why he is having to advertise through ebay I will be wanting my rolltops done this year, so its good to know who the good bad & ugly are
