Admin Vista Posted October 8, 2014 Admin Report Posted October 8, 2014 Anyone got any recommendations on what to go for? I confess that I don't know the first thing about these and personally have no use for one as I prefer using a proper keyboard on a laptop..........but my wife wants one and the choice and price range is bewildering! Are any of the regular tablets as good as an I-Pad but without the "Apple tax"? Suggestions please folks?
Admin Mk2Jo Posted October 8, 2014 Admin Report Posted October 8, 2014 I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab .. It's very easy to use 1
Danish Posted October 9, 2014 Report Posted October 9, 2014 At work I have an iPad Mini which I quite like. It's less bulky than a full-size iPad but can do all the same stuff. 1
SmokeEm Posted October 9, 2014 Report Posted October 9, 2014 We have a full size iPad4 with Retina Display. Personally, I wouldn't buy anything less. Yes, there are cheaper out there but the display on the real thing is like chalk n cheese to galaxy tabs IMHO. If you want cheap, buy a HUDL from Tesco. If you only want to buy once, buy the best. 1
Admin Vista Posted October 9, 2014 Author Admin Report Posted October 9, 2014 Just been in to the Apple store. The full size I-pad with retina display is pretty pricey! Not sure she's sufficiently in my good books to get one of those for her birthday I'm not sure that what she wants it for, predominantly surfing the Internet with a bigger screen than her phone, justifies the cost of the full size one with supadooper screen either.
irishtorag Posted October 9, 2014 Report Posted October 9, 2014 vista I had a tablet and sold it as like you the lack of key board is a curse sittin using fone is bad but to hold a bulky yoke is worse hence the change to laptop again but ya gotta please your doris buddy 1
Admin Vista Posted October 9, 2014 Author Admin Report Posted October 9, 2014 I got her an I-Pad mini, if she wants the bigger one she can take it back and exchange it. Thanks for all the various feedback
