Admin Vista Posted November 7, 2014 Admin Report Posted November 7, 2014 Anyone else been watching it on Friday nights over the last 10 or 11 weeks? I confess, I'm hooked and can't believe I'm going to have to wait till the summer for the next series!
Admin Mk2Jo Posted November 8, 2014 Admin Report Posted November 8, 2014 No ... I did record it but ran out of space as I was recording too many other things so had to delete it. Will wait for the repeats
Admin Vista Posted November 8, 2014 Author Admin Report Posted November 8, 2014 It's based on a book of the same name but essentially the world is in crisis due to the outbreak of a fatal virus for which there is no cure (ebola anyone?). When the outbreak began a USN Destroyer was up in the Arctic with a couple of virologists aboard on a research mission. They are observing radio silence and know nothing of what is happening till their mission completes. They are then tasked with developing a cure. Meanwhile they get into some scrapes with a rogue Russian admiral on the way. It's a bit predictable at times but is entertaining none the less and I enjoyed it. Can't wait for season 2 in the summer. 1

I confess that I was originally drawn to the naval side of it having had a naval career on similar ships but it's a good yarn whether you understand all the naval jargon or not
