No Jo that's an 80's SZ, nicked named il monstro. Mine is quite a bit rarer (not to mention prettier) and is a RHD Montreal from the early 70's.

And it has a fuel injected, dry dumped, quad cam, all alloy V8 that revs to nearly 8k.......as standard........from 1970! :-o

I run the entire company car fleet for FIAT Auto (UK) from 1988 -1995 which included Alfa & Lancia.

Initially 36 SZ's (IIRC) were bought into the UK (all European spec), a handfull were used as Press/Fleet/marketing vehicles (No RZ;s were ever bought in by FIAT Auto).

I supplied Derek Warwick a freebie SZ to use whilst he was racing for Alfa Corsa in the BTCC (155)

Sales didnt go to well due to the last recession so some were sent back to Italy.

For their time they were brilliant to drive, but not in the same league as the Integrale or Q4.

Fortunately I was spoilt back then for motors, I even supplied company cars to, and got to meet the likes of Dr Massimo Carello (Carello Lights) & John Barnard (F1) when they were employed by FIAT. Good times and lots of stories :)

Vitsa, that Alfa is a real thing of beauty.

Also interesting to compare the styling of it next to the Escort, both similar eras and whereas one is curvy and designed by the heart the other is functional and designed by the head.
