classicwhitey
Mk1 fiesta has to be a good choice as the prices havent rocketed. whatever you get though put it on classic insurance to get the insurace down
cortina mk2
was thinking about one but can't find a cheap one looking for something which needs a bit of bodywork done also thinking maybe a mk2 fiesta
Vista
If you're looking for something small, have to agree re mk1 Fiesta but if you can go a little larger, Corsairs can still be had for sensible money despite essentially being a Cortina under the skin For instance http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C450652#
cortina mk2
like it but a bit out of my price range don't want to spend more than £1300 to buy one
Vista
like it but a bit out of my price range don't want to spend more than £1300 to buy c Gotcha, that's tight on budget for a classic Ford but they do turn up from time to time, can you stretch to a few hundred more? http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C576402 Or for a few hundred less, a 100e needing work? http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C570450
cortina mk2
love the 100e but the cost would add up as for the mk1 good price even with the cost of transporting it but wouldn't want to mess with a car that original very rare to see a mk1 like that these days

Benjy✌
I had a mk2 cortina for my first car and that was great! Was cheap to insure for a young driver to! Cheaper then a corsa!! For some reason the insurance on mk1 fiesta's are silly! 1300 quid is a tight budget but it is doable! Just be patient and check all the forsale sites regularly! Thats what I do! 4months ago I paid £1300 for a mk2 Tina estate so bargains are still out there just gotta get on them quick!

cortina mk2
anyone know what the insurance is like on a mk2 cortina or mk1 or mk2 fiesta
Kieran
Insurance depends on the area you live and other factors like how long you've been driving, NCB etc I bought my Fiesta last year being 18 and driving for a year but it was way to high for me to insure it there and then, Hopefully by the middle of this year I should be able to afford the insurance on it and get it out on the road myself Mk1 Fiestas recently have been creeping up in price but there are still some good ones to have for around 1000-1200 another option is a mk2 fiesta which you can regularly find for under £1,000 although we don't cater for them on here!
