I think the other question that should be asked is... if you arent in an Owners Club why not ?

You are too tight to pay to be in one ?

 

 

I've always been a member of the Anglia Owners Club and will continue to do so, my membership money and money for any spares I buy is ploughed back into the club and its spares scheme, so more and more products can be re-manufactured.

 

As time goes on it will be increasingly difficult for individuals to get spares and they will have no chance of obtaining the spares to keep the cars on the road and passing MOT's

 

I used to be a member of the RS Owners Club, but for a club of its size all I got was cheaper insurance, there was no spares scheme so I cancelled my membership.

 

 

Forums offer a great sense of community and that is probably 75% of why people form clubs, to be with people who share a common interest, the others take a more selfish approach and they are only club members to get spares and give nothing back to the club other than their fees.

 

 

Although a Forum can give you a helluva lot of what a club can, dont just dismiss the clubs out of hand as they are where the future of your vehicle lies.

I am too skint to pay £30 / £40 a year for a club, I find OSF has everything and more to offer.

 

As for spares there are so many breakers or ebay shops its not too hard to find most things.....

Was a member of the anglia owners club just seemed to let it lapse not sure why realy.....Member of my local motor club for my rally antics.
