In today's market I reckon about £15k to £20k for a mint example of either car. A Mexico maybe commanding slightly higher values.

Although there are those of us that would pay far more for a perfect harrier than a mex. If I had the cash, I'd be happy to part with 20 large for a mint Harrier but you'd struggle to get half of that off me for a mex. Back un the day, a Mex was seen as a poor mans RS2000 to us 18yr olds. A Harrier however, was a rich mans 1600 Sport

Interesting, whereas I would always pick the Mexico, primarily for the increased ease with which it can be upgraded from 1600 pinto to 2.0 (and still appear standard) against the mods necessary to do the same to the x-flow equipped Harrier. Which of course would then look modified.

hi bonsai78 just seen your thread reply about the harrier that your mate has for sale in graham walkers in chester , do you know any history about the car at all , i see that in the advert they state that they are not sure wether it is a genuine harrier or not . i drove over to view the car last sunday ( new they were shut but it was the only chance i had ) from what i could see it looked quite tidy although the minilite wheels didnt do it for me . would you or anybody be able to advise me on what to look for so i could identify it as a genuine harrier besides from the scutch plate . thanks in anticipation for your reply . woz
