Russian Bear Posted May 17, 2015 Report Posted May 17, 2015 What an epic day!! The Midlands to Wales tour. It was great to meet Mark one, Paul Mann, Baz and everyone else I was fortunate to talk to. I'll be honest I didn't expect to make it all the way round I was anticipating a breakdown somewhere along the line. But TQ got me to Telford, around North Wales (Evo Triangle rules!!) and back home with out missing a beat. Covered a total of 218 miles today not only surprising me but also a few people being stock and 997cc we gave as best I could. A big thank you to Rossmk2, Aled and Dave from North Wales Classic Ford for organising the day and routes plus my really unexpected award. Here's to 2016's event I can't wait!!
Russian Bear Posted May 17, 2015 Author Report Posted May 17, 2015 My award. 3rd place - Car of Tour!! Blown away!! 3

richiewelsh79 Posted May 18, 2015 Report Posted May 18, 2015 Have you midlanders have your own group too like the North Wales one out of interest??
bazoff72 Posted May 18, 2015 Report Posted May 18, 2015 Same as above Greg, a much deserved prize and a down to earth geeeeza ha ha , nice to meet you in person pal 1
RossMK2 Posted May 18, 2015 Report Posted May 18, 2015 glad you enjoyed it mate knew you would, Deserved the award too 2
Russian Bear Posted May 19, 2015 Author Report Posted May 19, 2015 Thank you for the kind words guys. I'm really glad I took part it was ace, again its really down to people on OSF and North Wales Classic Fords. If it wasn't for all the participants and the atmosphere it wouldn't have been anywhere near the fun we had. So everyone deserves a pat on the back!! 2
PAUL MANN Posted May 19, 2015 Report Posted May 19, 2015 top day, your anglia did well greg top car i bet it used the least fuel of the tour aswell have you drunk you bubbly yet 1
Russian Bear Posted May 20, 2015 Author Report Posted May 20, 2015 Hi Paul, Bubbly has gone yeah!! Lol!! Went nice with a Chicken Tikka Tawa believe it or not. I started the day with a full tank which is about £25 and topped up the tank with £12.56 at Mile End services. 2
Russian Bear Posted May 21, 2015 Author Report Posted May 21, 2015 Richie I don't there is a midland area or meet for that matter but there should be...Maybe we should sort one. 2
richiewelsh79 Posted May 21, 2015 Report Posted May 21, 2015 Could be a good idea, I own a mk1 fiesta supersport & the North Wales group is only for RWD, be good to get involved in a group where I could bring my own car instead of tagging along in friends escorts
aled Posted May 21, 2015 Report Posted May 21, 2015 Great pics Greg and nice to meet you . Glad you had such a nice day. Your car is amazingly oeiginal, unrestored, non concourse, and that is why it won the award. Ace, just ace ! Glad you enjoyed your bubbly too. Sorry it was only Aldi but that is all we could afford lol ! On the topic of forming a group, then I would strongly advise it. It is very rewarding, satisfying in the knowledge that like minded people who very often lice nearby get together occasionally and have a laugh and help each other out. Go for it ! Arrange a monthly meeting throughout the Summer months then see how it goes. It will grow from a few to quite a few in no time. Best of luck 2
aled Posted June 4, 2015 Report Posted June 4, 2015 Brilliant video Ross....love it ! Thanks for all your hard work. People are still buzzing now !
