Yet another colour ID question!

Does anyone know of this car? It belongs to Someone called Tyler Richardson from NZ and was featured in CF mag back in 2013. There's a few pics on t'internet but I can't find the answer I'm looking for.

 

I'd like to know what colour orange that is. Can anyone help?

Seriously though Mike, if it HAS to be orange, the Lambo Orange was the brightest I've seen short of a Dyno-Rod van!

Looks like a colour of a hillman avenger, remember those, an old boy had down my road when I was a yooof! And before you say it yes I know I am no use at all in this matter! Still it will probably get minds thinking

Don't laugh but have look at the orange on rac vans ,very strong orange colour, looks very good when fresh my mate done his mk1 in it

Del I've seen that colour and had the same thought. Pete I'm sorry to say personally I'm not a fan of green cars. Or green anything to be honest so it's Orange for me! Just my personal opinion

Do tbey not have a shed load of paint chips at the place painting it, or you already looked at them?

They do but I've not looked yet. He says there's thousands in the charts so I'd like to have an idea before we go through them when the car is in.

Spoke to the owner of that car. He says its just regular factory signal orange. Looks darker in the pics!

asked painter today, can't find tin but seems to believe it's Sebring, which is a ford colour, not sure if it was called sunburst red as well, think mg and triumph used very similar colour

Sebring Red is Orange but Sunburst most certainly isn't. My old MK1 Escort was Sebring Red but I wouldn't have thought is was 'Orange' enough for you Mike

Wasnt sunburst red the mk1 xr2 colour? That rings a bell, again not very orangy! If thats a word, different note, that orange 1300 sport looks superb.

Think that 1300 sport was parked next to me on the flux stand at classic ford. Nice guy with his son from Wiltshire. It was very very tidy.

That'll be a long drive, the one in the pic belongs to a guy called Tyler who live in New Zealand wouldn't surprise me if someone's copied the car though

Hate to say this but what I remember from my teens is that most of the fast fords near us where painted sh-t pale green for whatever reason considering it's supposed to be an unlucky colour. But if you want orange it's got to be an in your face orange. I class the focus St orange and green as in your face colours but do admit they do look good. If I was going to paint a car in those colours they would be the ones for me.
