Not to everyones taste i will admit but here's the convertible i've been working on for quite some time.

 

3:0ltr Ghia now with 5 speed conversion

17" TSW's

No roof (obviously)

I know summer has now been and gone but at least she's fully legal and ready to go whenever the sun comes out :)

Personally I think the capri shape lends itself well to bring a rag top and I do like yours.......

 

But the ones I've seen previously don't look so good with the roof up as the conversions done back in the day all had roofs that looked they'd done by their granny on the sewing machine, with the canvas bodge then strapped around used tent poles

That Capri looks fantastic. I've seen a couple before at shows and they do make a nice convertible. Any pics from the 3/4 rear?

This is exactly why I've got no pics of the roof up!!!!!  Even I'll admit they don't look "right" with the roof up and mine does resemble (rather accurately) your description!! lol

Absolutely no offence taken :) I'm the first one to admit that she doesn't look anywhere good with the roof up (your description was eerily accurate) ... it's def a car for dry days.. the roof is only there for emergency use only!!!

Pete. those convertibles look the nuts.

 

I will have to quiz you about the folding mechanism and edge seals as i gave up making a for for my sierra years ago

 

Whats the story on the two door estate ???
