digger Posted September 5, 2015 Report Posted September 5, 2015 Not to everyones taste i will admit but here's the convertible i've been working on for quite some time. 3:0ltr Ghia now with 5 speed conversion 17" TSW's No roof (obviously) I know summer has now been and gone but at least she's fully legal and ready to go whenever the sun comes out 2
Admin Vista Posted September 5, 2015 Admin Report Posted September 5, 2015 Personally I think the capri shape lends itself well to bring a rag top and I do like yours....... But the ones I've seen previously don't look so good with the roof up as the conversions done back in the day all had roofs that looked they'd done by their granny on the sewing machine, with the canvas bodge then strapped around used tent poles
HotRodMatt Posted September 5, 2015 Report Posted September 5, 2015 That Capri looks fantastic. I've seen a couple before at shows and they do make a nice convertible. Any pics from the 3/4 rear?

Even I'll admit they don't look "right" with the roof up and mine does resemble (rather accurately) your description!! lol

digger Posted September 5, 2015 Author Report Posted September 5, 2015 sorry, no offence intended........a car for dry days perhaps? Absolutely no offence taken I'm the first one to admit that she doesn't look anywhere good with the roof up (your description was eerily accurate) ... it's def a car for dry days.. the roof is only there for emergency use only!!!
Admin Mk2Jo Posted September 8, 2015 Admin Report Posted September 8, 2015 Never seen one like that before .... it's good to be different.
3litrepete Posted September 12, 2015 Report Posted September 12, 2015 I built 2 Soft top Capri's years ago, I wanted them to still look like Capri's with the roofs up. Think I succeeded. Hope the links work, long time since I used photobucket
