Hi new to the site so not sure if I am doing it right.

Can anyone tell me if anyone makes a gearbox mount to fit the rx8 6speed into my mk2 escort

I think the mount used is just the rx8 one bolted to the floor. Have a flick through this guys thread:

I am not registered with that forum but basically di the rx8 box fit easily.I break mx5,s and I know the mx5 box ,both 5 and 6 speed, are approx  4inches longer at tail and gear lever would be in the back seat in escort.!!

Am told the stick goes through the same hole on a escort. And up against a type 9 box there is not a lot in it size wise so should fit nice with what I have read !!!

That's interesting and there are bell housings available to fit ,on the net. I was checking for my mk2 type 9 to zetec and I had no bell housing anyway so if I remember correctly it was jbj.co.uk but there are several companies anyway.

It's a conversion plate that's fits the rx8 6speed do them for lots of engines now !!

Hi I am fitting zetec to mk2 escort at this very minute , almost ready to drop in, but and idea of the company name that does the bellhousing/conversion plate?

Hi don't no what I did in the last post. Look on ebay a chap called freddy he dose the best ones again so I've read £130 for the plate or there abouts
