Retromotorsport Posted February 24, 2007 Report Posted February 24, 2007 I sold a 2.3 SOHC one of those at the Damm Yankees show a few years ago... drove it there and wasnt going to drive it back.. £200 and i was well happy ... bloody awfull slow barge. Funniest thing of the day was the show area .. a guy talks about each car as its driven around the show area ... theres all these Tri Chevys and Lincolns all stunning cars .. A Charger RT being the best on the day ... and i roll up in this silvery grey Mustang, trainer whitener writing all over it ... "buy this car, must go today, offers " And the guy doing the commentry , (Something, may be Chris) Tucker , just pissed himself as he saw me queing up behind a very Bling 57 ... and when it was my turn , he did a brillient job of selling it ..
deluxe Posted February 24, 2007 Report Posted February 24, 2007 yank engines from the 80s are usually sluggish coz they had stricter emission laws than on our side of the pond. I think they had to make them low compression to keep the NOx down, so a standard 2.3 had about 80 hp
RUSTYPUP Posted February 24, 2007 Report Posted February 24, 2007 , (Something, may be Chris) Tucker , .. Pete Tucker!
