Has this made the news anywhere North of Zummerzet?

A 10-metre tin Man Engine travelling across the Cornish Mining World Heritage Site to mark the 10th year of its Unesco heritage status.

Went to see it in Liskeard today, 90 minute delay to find all we could see was a distant view o the back of his head. I assumed (assumption is the root of all evil) that he'd turn around so everyone could get a decent look, but by the time I realised that wasn't going to happen and worked my way through the crowd to see his face, it was all over and he was being put away. Hence pics (and two disappointed kids)

Mining was a pretty important industry down here. The countryside and moors are littered with old Mine Engine houses. Many have been converted into houses

I am hoping to see this beast at some stage of it's journey! got to be right time, right place I guess, the mining industry has now been largely forgotten now, although we now have a new tungsten mine where I live in Plymouth....

A better shot, quite a spectacle when it's up and performing

My mum's family are from just outside of Penzance. Doesn't many summers at my name house on Colenso Cross. Bothe my maternal brands and his da and brothers were miners. Travelled the world in the 1920's and 30's digging big holes in the ground. Would love to see the engine but 750 mile round trip is just too much.
