BTM_FDR Posted August 2, 2016 Report Posted August 2, 2016 Hi, I have recently bought a 1600 Xflow but it wasn't supplied with a carb!
colr6 Posted August 2, 2016 Report Posted August 2, 2016 Bit of a no brainer really got To go for a weber,if you can get hold of a manifold the carbs are avail new if feeling flush !
BTM_FDR Posted August 2, 2016 Author Report Posted August 2, 2016 Which manifold do I need? A twin choke one? Because I've seen a twin choke one with two holes? Or there is one that looks like it has a large oval hole, Thanks for your help so far
colr6 Posted August 2, 2016 Report Posted August 2, 2016 Just thinking about two hole or oval hole two could be 1300 oval hole 1600 or the difference between escort and cortina mk2 can't see it makes any difference really carb base bolts should be the same but stand to be corrected. Would have thought Ray doing the 1300e resto could give a bit of info on manifold fitted to an E and surly there will be someone with a tina GT/1600e for info on one of them to see any differences
meXEco Posted August 2, 2016 Report Posted August 2, 2016 Got a twinchoke weber and manifold all complete ready to bolt on here-was bought new a couple of years ago and did about 250 miles before fitting twin 40's. Was also set up for a fast road 1600 xflow at Shillabers rolling road in dads anglebox-will ask him for a price if interested?
