Hi all. I'm new to restoration, and EBay is killing me lol. Parts are so scarce, when they do pop up they are miles away. I'm in the Midlands. Can you please recommend the best meets/fairs, I'm interested in both. I'll be at the nec in a few wks. But would like to set some dates for 2017. Thanks

Classic Ford Show and Beaulieu auto jumble spring to mind. The former isn't as good as it was in terms of autojumble though as the entry prices for traders are driving them away.

The auto jumbles at Shepton mallet are good but you'd have to travel down to Somerset. Best places to go are the likes of Escort tec or gs.escort. They do other models other than escorts. The fairs arnt as good as they used to be and similar to ebay prices now.

The best people I got bits from for my build were rally guys. All of them buy standard cars and strip them as all they need is a shell.

Golden days in Norfolk are good too.

Seems there genuinely not as good as they used to be. As a newbe I think they will be the best for me lol. I've previously owned 6 mk2 escorts, back in the day. Just getting back into it, with passion. Thanks for the heads up. I don't mind a wkend away. Need so much gear. Would prefer to meet fellow enthusiast's. And obviously have a good look at the parts that I'm buying.

Have watched the 2016 snowdonia tour on here a few times. Absolutely amazing.
