HI after four years in his Mk1 Fiesta my son has got the bug for a RWD.

He's not got a massive budget and will consider a project .

Cortina mk1 ,2,3,4,or 5 , 2 door(optomistic) or 4 door.

Escort mk2 4 door?

Anglia?

Please let me know what you have.

Thanks,

Stuart

 Hi Colin,

Its a really clean one  previous owner car running zetec and bike carbs.

I think he intends keeping this and a RWD.

But, yes would be nice to do. But, a lot of work.

He'd probably get it done quicker than my conversion on the Cortina..

Regards,

Stuart

Already registered, so no problem just the lights are at the wrong end.

big problem as soon as the bulkhead/floor/tunnel are altered it falls foul of the 8 point rule and an iva test is nearly £500

rules are getting tightened and more cars are getting checked a 100e owner has been asked by dvla to show pics of the original chassis plate in place and the stamped chassis number if and when it gets checked it will lose its id its got a yb turbo in it and is well known so its best not to put pics of blatantly modified stuff on Retards Club

There was a red four door Mk2 Cortina on Ebay Australia last week. It had a buy it now price of $300 (about 200 quid). It was compete but the engine was out. A project to be sure but nothing near as rusty as the things you guys fix there. I thought it was a bargain for that kind of money.

Have you ever thought of going into the export business RP.

There is another one still listed for the equivalent of 600 quid and its even a two door and the engine is still in and complete still with its hubcaps on. Thats the starting price rather than buy it now but there are no bids.

And for 3000 quid you can have something fully operational and MOTed on the road with little restoration required. This one went off just before Christmas.
