Anyone remember the room we used to have in here called "Go and stand in the corner"?

I think it might need to make a comeback

Nah, it was different times then (2008/9). You could buy a Sierra 2.0i with 9 months MOT for £500. Use it as your everyday car until the MOT ran out then pull the engine out.

I am conflicted (on many subjects) I have a Lotus 7 replica that has all Sierra running gear.

In my defence I bought the kit and the remnants of the Sierra as an unstarted project and in further mitigation (for this forum) the Sierra donor was a scrapyard purchase with scrappage reciept.

However I pose another question on old skool Ford acceptability criteria... does an ST or RS become acceptable earlier than the standard offering?

If so when does my Fiesta ST150 become acceptable??

Quoting myself here

I have a further confession....

My second recently purchased kitcar (Fisher Fury) has all Escort running gear with 1660 Crossflow and came with 2 x 4 speed gearboxes.

This is turning into a confessional

And

I expect to be excommunicated anytime soon

Don't forget it was cosworth who designed the 'red top' .......can't remember who designed the zetec,...was a toss up between Hotpoint or Creda ....lol

I repair washing machines etc for a living

red tops are too new to be creda, if it was hotpoint they'd of all set fire to themselves by the time the left the factory gate!!

wouldnt matter they normally had a water leak by then so would be self extinguishing as well as self combusting

It was discussed extensively and voted on by members a few years ago (link below). The matter is effectively therefore closed, to vote again risks us seeming like that irritating Scottish doris and her insistence on neverendums till she gets the result she wants.

The trick is to be tackful and not to be married to any of them.....

If I get "The Look" I vote it's time to up stumps and go play on someone else's paddock.   :)
