Mk1 Escort wanted

Hi,

 

I am looking for a Mk1 escort, it must be 2 door and manual transmission.

 

Ideally I would love an Rs2000 replica or Mexico replica and one that has either already been restored or has had all the body work done and just needs finishing touches.

 

I am not looking for completely original but will consider anything that is in great condition.

 

If you have anything please upload a picture and state the price you want. I am not interested in guessing what people want as it wastes everyone's time. Just tell me and then we all know where we stand.

Tell me about it. That's why I could only afford a replica. Even the good ones of them go before I get a look in. So difficult to find one and certainly not had any luck locally yet.

Log on to Gulf Petrol Heads and have a look at the cars for sale.  There was a MK1 Duratec for sale on there that is UK registered.  Sorry I can't link you to it, as my work computer does not allow copy and paste to this forum.

 

The build thread for this car is also on there named Svetlana.

 

I have personally seen this car at the owners home in Dubai and it is very very nice indeed.  The owner is a great guy and is a real petrol head.  Not sure if it's still for sale, as I'm now back living in the UK.

I bet if you were to restore and modify one to the same spec and condition, you'd probably have to add a bit more to that £20k figure.
