We're looking into options for roller garage doors for a new build garage, and security is the top priority! Anyone have a any recommendations for brands they've been impressed with, or ones to avoid?

No idea on garage doors but id be sticking retracting posts up between the door and the car.

bloke next door to me found those totally useless, when he forgot they were there and they just ripped out as he hit them with the car, one even bent first

my main roller shutter has 2 ground locks and 2 pin locks, then you cant operate the electric shutter without all 4 locks being in keeps, then the main workshop door is protected with an internal shutter door that locks, the exit door has a steel grill door that locks, and has the alarm panel attached, the main door has 2 locks, and outside that is another shutter door with pin locks, all windows also have pin locked shutters over them, fire exit totally blocked off both sides of the door and office again has an internal shutter door that's pin locked, the alarm has more passive detectors than you can shake a stick at, and 4 external sirens and 4 internal, the noise is piercing

once you have got a good secure shutter fitted, park a old car sideways across the front, or if you have the space they you can do it from inside, then they have to move a dead car before they can get through the doors.

i think that if you parked a car sideways across the front (outside) you would be advertising you had something worth stealing tbh

good point there, if you are on an industrial estate or at home etc. im on a farm out of the way, so it just looks another old car parked up againsed another old  farm building. if you try it outside a nice shiny lockup, it could stand out
