Hi all 

I'm new to all this posting, please excuse any mishaps. 1600 sports S/A purchased from South Vehicle Auctions  April 2018 some of you may have seen it advertised on their site. This car is full of bodges however I'm working my through them, it's Motd (that's another story) & registered as a late 1980.

I'm about to take the heater out (its not working) and this is where I'm baffled the vent pipe from the heater to the face level vent has got a sensor stuffed in the pipe on the passenger side it is  connected to the main harness and the heater I've attached some pics. 'Help please' never seen anything like this, the drivers side is clear to the facia however the vent pipe to the facia has got a long green sensor also attached the harness pic attached.

That wire is bizarre, never seen anytbing like that either. What's it comnected to? Perhaps a left over from a now deleted after market AC system?

Now that's a good thought an after market A/C leftover parts, the module that's stuffed in the pipe is seriously jammed in, and very restricted on the airflow. I shall carry on taking the heater out, some of the facia parts have been glued in so it has been messed about with, the module in the pipe I have since found out has a date of 15/4/04.

If I find anything out I'll put another post up.
