Has anyone got the Cosmos Cover for an Escort and if so, did you go for a small or medium?

By coincidence I have bought myself an inside cover just this week from a company called Cars Covers. They specialise in covers, so you find your car in the list and order from there. My cover only turned up on Wednesday and as my car isn't at my house I didn't try it until Thursday. First impressions were good as it was soft and also came with straps to secure the cover under your car, but . . . . . .it didn't fit properly!! The front is perfect with fitting round the nose cone and the mirror pockets are in the correct place, but it's not long enough. I emailed them on Friday but haven't had a response yet. I will keep you updated.

I have a Cosmos cover in Green. You have to go for a medium for an Escort but it does hang to the ground. That's on a MK1 so the slightly baggy size would perfectly accommodate a longer Mk2 RS2000 nose. Fit and finish is really good for an off the shelf cover. Even under strong winds without any tie down straps it doesn't blow off like every previous cover I have owned which seems to be a benefit of it covering to within an inch of the ground. Comes with a nice carry bag with handles. I use it under a Carport so not completely indoors and as such it has faded quite dramatically from UV exposure. Your fading there may be different there as you guys seem to prefer rain over sunshine and also you are probably using it as intended indoors. It hasn't faded on the inside though so evidence it is protecting the car paint from UV damage. Overall I have been happy with it and would consider buying one again but probably a lighter colour less susceptible to fade.

Sounds good. I've polished the car by hand, but there is a fair amount of fallout still on the paint. Granted it hasn't been painted for about 20 years, but it still seems to get dirty and lose its shine, even when garaged. 

Medium size Cosmos is sounding promising.

My cover turned out to be for an mg and was packed in the wrong bag! It now fits perfectly. The company exchanged it pretty much straight away after I sent them a picture. I would recommend them?. You do also get a carry bag with it.

Is that the Cosmos medium?

I dont think that is a Cosmos one. The Cosmos is a fine soft woven fabric that doesn't go crinkly like the one Munch has picture. That type he has does handle outdoors better though.

No, it's not a cosmos cover. It's from a company called cars covers. They do 4 types of cover to suit where your car is stored. The one I bought is called a Sahara. Their covers are car specific so there are no small, medium or large. Check out their website www.carscovers.co.uk
