Steve Saxty Posted April 24, 2019 Report Posted April 24, 2019 My publisher is about to do a spring sale on their books, as is normal in their world. I'm always a bit loathe to see my book discounted and thought that maybe a club-only one might be more appropriate. I was thinking that if he did a limited time offer of £10 off Collectors and £7.50 off the Standard then maybe that would appeal? Then, rather than advertise it that it's selectively offered to a few clubs and this forum. What do you think?, everyone loves a deal as you know! Also, as a further incentive, existing buyers get the exclusive first chance to buy the Capri 50th sister book I'm doing. That's a few hundred units so will sell out in a week or two. If you don't know about the book, which I'm hoping everyone here does then take a look... using this link. Steve
notenoughtime Posted April 24, 2019 Report Posted April 24, 2019 That was a classic Capri so not really the same as the mk1 Capri which Steve is talking about
colr6 Posted April 24, 2019 Report Posted April 24, 2019 Tbh I’m of the same opinion as eeb 43 you could say the same for the escort, that came out in 1955 so the mk1 of 68 is not the real mk1🤔

colr6 Posted April 24, 2019 Report Posted April 24, 2019 Here you go, 1955 Ford Escort.😜 Ford EscortEdit The Ford Escort was a mechanically identical estate car but based on the Ford Anglia,[clarification needed] which had a lower trim level. This proved more popular and a total of 33,131 Escorts were produced between 1955 and 1961.[2]Production of the Escort continued until 1961, two years longer than the Squire. Some years later,[when?] the Escort name was also used for two other small cars, manufactured in Europe and North America.

OSF Contributor Mexican Gerbil Posted April 25, 2019 OSF Contributor Report Posted April 25, 2019 I think it's a good idea and thank you for considering this forum for this potenial offer.

OK, let me speak to the publisher. The book is selling out, so it's more to let him temporarily offer a spring sale across his range. It's really a £70-80 size book so if he does it than being able to temporarily buy it for £37.50 would be a great deal. Stand by.....
