notenoughtime Posted August 25, 2019 Author Report Posted August 25, 2019 Thanks, That’s the early box will need the Mexico/RS box FIA regulations appendix "J"at the time spell out what is required for group 1 cars in general. For the 1974 Escort rally championship there were many permitted modifications to both Mexcio's and RS2000's . heavy duty engine and gearbox mounting . heavy duty cross member . Bilstein struts and Boreham springs . Heavy duty sway bar bushes . Magnesium sump shield . Bilstein rear dampers fitted ti std. mounting points . Heavy duty 4 leaf springs and bushes . Std exhaust system and manifold, with bracing . brake and fuel lines relocated inside the car . fuel lines all steel . Quartz Iodine lights . Battery must stay in std position but can be up rated, as too the alternator and electrical system . Std gearbox ratios, LSD with std diff ratio . Engine to be std. but combustion chambers can be balanced . Rear seats to be fitted but front seats can be replaced . Bonnet pins, fire proof bulkheads and FIA roll cage required . Laminated screen . 5KG fire extinguishers . Battery Isolation switch
