Admin Vista Posted March 5, 2007 Admin Report Posted March 5, 2007 Need to run my new motor in and get it set up first, whereabouts are you proposing?
4parajon Posted March 5, 2007 Report Posted March 5, 2007 I'm interested, where & when you thinking??
Morley Posted March 5, 2007 Author Report Posted March 5, 2007 I'm thinking a North Vs South vibe maybe with one common car to visit the two rolling road centres to get a "corrector" figure.

4parajon Posted March 5, 2007 Report Posted March 5, 2007 Good idea Ben, are you after a reccomendation for a Northern one?? or have you got one in mind??, Ive visited Rick Woods (Stockport) a few times over the years and he knows his onions. Last time I was there he warned me that the bottom end on my pinto was very tired, 3 weeks later it let go. Just a thought mate

johnny_h Posted March 5, 2007 Report Posted March 5, 2007 Is there room for a mild crossflow at the southern rolling road. Would love someone who knows what they are doing to see what my engine can do.
Morley Posted March 5, 2007 Author Report Posted March 5, 2007 I will start an official list as soon as i've Firmed up places and dates. Any engines welcome from standard to full blown mental spec...
Guest MK1gaz Posted March 5, 2007 Report Posted March 5, 2007 Brilliant idea Ben , don't let the dyno operators touch the "mule" car though after it's be set up on the first one because it will muck up the comparison between them . Certain dynos can't tune a car as good as other ones can . Use a proper oldskool dyno for the shoot out day though , one that's good with carbs + dizzys as that's what most cars have got . Don't use the carb hating " I love injection" places who's operators prance around with a laptop allday !!!!!
jayson2.3pinto Posted March 6, 2007 Report Posted March 6, 2007 peter sanspeeds is good at old skool motors and hes got a nice rally car with bda in and hes a sound bloke
caprigary Posted March 7, 2007 Report Posted March 7, 2007 What about the North as in Scotland, our capri club ICE is organising a rolling road day soon, we could expand it to include all retro fords. Let me know what you think.
caprigary Posted March 7, 2007 Report Posted March 7, 2007 Heres another idea, what about getting the top 10 from the north and the top 10 from the south from the rolling roads and taking them to York drag strip as its kinda central so we can translate the power figures into real world performances.
