Tony F Posted February 13, 2020 Report Posted February 13, 2020 Hi folks, I have a 1600 Ghia mk2 escort 4 door made in Germany March 1976. Its mid blue metalic. However I dont know the exact colour, no colour tag on the vehicle. I've researched for hours and discovered they only made them in three metalic blue colours that year/season. One colour is Miami blue, but the other two are not stated. Any help please
Tony F Posted February 14, 2020 Author Report Posted February 14, 2020 Colour code is 11 or F11 The damed thing wont let me put photos up. Stamped on the VIN under colour is 11. The colour plate is exactly like this U CAF SA18453 - - EBL 3 BUB26 - A - - G - - 6 - - 3 - - - 52A - F11 8 1A E9
Admin Vista Posted February 14, 2020 Admin Report Posted February 14, 2020 Can you post a picture of the car up? What does it say under colour on the chassis and body plates?
Moderator Rally Pack 2000 Posted February 15, 2020 Moderator Report Posted February 15, 2020 The thing with Escort Colours I have noticed is that they often have an identical version from Ford of other factories around the world its just that they rename them. If you can post a picture that will go a long way. If you're having trouble posting the image try private messaging me and we can try transferring it via email and I will post it for you.
Moderator Rally Pack 2000 Posted February 21, 2020 Moderator Report Posted February 21, 2020 Here is Tony F's car. It looks like a Blue I have seen before if anyone knows the name of it.

In The Pit Posted March 3, 2020 Report Posted March 3, 2020 To double confirm the colour is Neptune Blue from the picture and the fact it's a March 1976 Ghia. Worth noting it's a rare colour and a nice one at that, hope you're keeping it. Out of interest what colour is the interior? the few Neptune Blue ones i've seen normally had black. 1
