Ford individual letters boot and bonnet template

Hi, looking for help as title, previous owner went for the clean line look and filled over the boot and bonnet badge holes but I would like to return to original but don’t want to replace the boot or bonnet. Anyone know if there is a paper template for drilling the badge post holes?

Just had my bonnet re-sprayed & gone for the modern ‘stick em on’ fastening, looks good & no fear of water getting into the hole & causing rust - Huge

I didnt know they offered stick on ones. They look just as good.

The letters are original Just cut off the pins as couldn’t bare to drill the new bonnet repair & paint.

Well there you go, no wonder they looked as good. I think you should market that. The oval Ford logos are stuck on after all someone should make stick on Ford letters as well!

This looks like a better route.

Was dreading letting loose with a drill and the pins weren't all the same centres so this will likely be the route I go.

I don't have the original letters so where did you buy these stick on type and what were the centres between the letters as want to keep original look.

Hi My boot is prepped for re-spray so I’ve taken the measurements if the pin holes b4 they get filled in - hope this helps. Measurements are in mm taken from left to right - Huge

have you got some heights to go with that pls, looking really on the escort script badge heights, doing a car for someone and the spray shop filled and sprayed the holes by mistake

Did you just cut off the tabs or are these available to buy with adhesive bases?

Hello Marti I used the original letters & cut the pins off. I didn’t take a template of the bonnet holes b4 they got welded over & painted so I had to guesstimate where to put the F.O.R.D  & thats y I’m not offering up my bonnet measurements cos they may not b exact! I got a specialist body repair chap to fix them on so don’t kno what he used 🤔 Good Luck!! Huge

on a spacing between them basis, I wouldn't have thought much different to the boot tbh, then work out the centre and work outwards, but I will measure mine tomorrow to see if im right or wrong
