WestfieldBRB Posted March 23, 2021 Report Posted March 23, 2021 Guys, A guest visit but I hope you guys can help. I own a Westfield 7 kit car running on an English live axle with 9” rear drums from a mk 2 escort. I am in the process of reconditioning these but have noticed that both drums are not fitted with a small grub screw that holds the drums against the hub. Can anyone advise what the size of this grub screw is so I can get some ? I also noticed that the rubber blanking grommet is missing on one side. Any idea where I can get a replacement one ? Photos below may help. thanks
katana Posted March 23, 2021 Report Posted March 23, 2021 I'm guessing a lot of peeps don't bother with the screw as drum can't go anywhere once wheel is in place! And can't say i've ever noticed the grommets you pointed out, either present or absent, from the 9" drums I removed. 1
Monza Posted March 23, 2021 Report Posted March 23, 2021 As Katana says....re the screws. Could try retro bolts uk on ebay tho. They sell lots of the little screws, grommets etcSent from my Hammer_Energy_18x9 using Tapatalk
Mash Posted March 23, 2021 Report Posted March 23, 2021 Aye, screws tend to get corroded in over time so as they can't go anywhere, I always used to leave mine off.
notenoughtime Posted March 23, 2021 Report Posted March 23, 2021 I think it’s a 1/4 unf screw you need
DaveF72 Posted March 24, 2021 Report Posted March 24, 2021 Mk1 is 1/4” unf not sure if mk2 is the same or changed to m6 🤔
