BaileyMex Posted November 5, 2021 Report Posted November 5, 2021 Has anyone seen or used these that are advertised in Classic Ford this month? Looking at the reviews/video's they almost seem too good compared with a traditional fire extinguisher Thoughts? https://firesafetystick.com/ / https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FsAjIGeoLKM
katana Posted November 5, 2021 Report Posted November 5, 2021 Hmmm - I've never seen the Fire Brigade use them or advocate their use on ANY type of fire. And the instructions leave a lot to be desired if tackling a car fire - most of which are underbonnet - and 1st rule with those DON'T OPEN THE BONNET! Which is a bit tricky when you have to aim the 'witch doctor's magic stick' at the base of a petrol (or whatever) fire! If you want an extinguisher GET an extinguisher, a proper one!
BaileyMex Posted November 5, 2021 Author Report Posted November 5, 2021 They do seem too good to be true don't they, and of course you need access to the fire source! under a closed bonnet.
