Ross1985 Posted January 17, 2022 Report Posted January 17, 2022 Hi, Has anyone put Formula Ford wheels on there Mk1/Mk2 Escorts? Thought they looked quite cool, but not sure on stud patterns etc. Cheers
BaileyMex Posted January 17, 2022 Report Posted January 17, 2022 Not sure Ross, have you got some photo's of them?
katana Posted January 17, 2022 Report Posted January 17, 2022 I'm supposing that 'FF wheels' are intended for FF racing, using Hewland gearboxes and IRS suspension with Uprights and Hubs made by who knows? It would be logical that they use a Ford PCD for the studs but its not guaranteed!
Ross1985 Posted January 17, 2022 Author Report Posted January 17, 2022 This kind of idea, just thought it looked quite cool, as was wanting to have something a bit different
BaileyMex Posted January 17, 2022 Report Posted January 17, 2022 4x108 will work. They look a bit like Mondeo steels but with a deeper dish 👍 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/114721753129?epid=2091881699&hash=item1ab5f30829:g:n14AAOSwaF1gSU-~
Brenda1978 Posted January 18, 2022 Report Posted January 18, 2022 Get some deep dish capri LS steel wheels.
Ross1985 Posted January 22, 2022 Author Report Posted January 22, 2022 So would mondeo wheels fit? I saw some banded ones on a mk2 on ‘Wheeler Dealer- Dream cars’ thought it looked smart

BaileyMex Posted January 24, 2022 Report Posted January 24, 2022 (edited) Unless you can find some early ones, I think MK1 & MK2 Mondeos were 4 stud, switched over to 3 on the MK3 facelift. Just found these on ebay, look similar, trick is finding 4 nice ones that are not skinny or buckled to f**k https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/114745281961?fits=Cars+Year%3A1994|Model%3AMondeo&hash=item1ab75a0da9%3Ag%3AShYAAOSwDxRgYdUA&LH_ItemCondition=3000 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/114616724999?hash=item1aafb06e07%3Ag%3Aj-8AAOSwbH9f9eBD&LH_ItemCondition=4 Edited January 24, 2022 by BaileyMex
Ross1985 Posted January 26, 2022 Author Report Posted January 26, 2022 Ah yes, see a few 4 stud ‘Ford Fusion’ etc wheels advertised, look very similar….but not sure if they are, usually about £50 each new
BaileyMex Posted January 26, 2022 Report Posted January 26, 2022 An alternative I guess, and you could get them banded if you need a bit more width
