    Made the annual visit to the cortina day at Symonds yat last Sunday. Even though its a cortina show other fords turn up albeit in decreasing numbers. Phyllis didnt make it,a split hose put paid to that. I do like a good superspeed cortina and one of the two was there.

    I have sprayed water mist down the carbs to clean the cylinder head. Alot of crap came out the exhaust....it was a fine mist as water does not compress

    Anyone got any experience on using IDF 40 webers on a crossflow. U got a pair of 40s all lined up and would appreciate any feedback. Fiat and lancia used them,so can't be bad.

    Refurbing the dash I misplaced the speedo needle. Does anyone have anything I could try. Given its a Ford probably any escort cortina capri would fit. I only need the needle (pointer) I will cover any postage otherwise I need to buy complete second hand clocks. Neil

    So, my 1980 fezza is diamond white paint code b. So I put some rattle cans and it came out a creamy off white. So I got another brand and same thing. I know paint can fade and looking in door shuts it looks a brighter white. I had some white gloss appliance paint and it's a good match. The guy around the corner has a mint capri ghia 1975 and his is diamond white and very white but it was painted few years ago and I hope to catch up with him soon. Any thoughts.

    Mewla rally on the Epynt mod ranges in the brecon beacons. Our equivalent of area 51. Good turn out of cars for this 10 stage x 44 tarmac miles over the military ranges. The Darrion t90 always up there near the front and the mk2 escorts sounded great. 1 x chevette an a few talbot sunbeams in there.

    Cupra Formentor 1.5 v2 It's awesome car fair play. Handles very well and loads of gadgets and safety features. Loving the heated seats.
