A mate in work had a chevy flat head truck, straight six. No wiring at all. He would like to get it started and then get it wired properly next year. It's got an alternator on it. Anyone help with a simple diagram on starting n charging

So, bottom hose off and flushed all warerless coolant out. Refilled with Peckham springs finest and back to her usual self. Glad I had the Evans for free, expensive stuff. Fitted 14 inch wheels

So last week I blagged 8L of Evans waterless coolant off a sales rep. We have trialled some in our machines in work. Drained and flushed out the system very well. The water was very good and not all brown sludged . In went 5 litres , had the car running to get rid of any airlock. Added some more. Went out today and the temp gauge used to show 83 to 85 degrees and fan would kick in. With this stuff in its running at 93 degrees. No expansion tak just a big ralloy radiator. Out for a run and after 10 miles it's 100 degrees. Limped home and gauge was 120. Took the cap off slowly ..because you should be able to do so... and it spunked hot red liquid. In fact the entire lot came back out. Neighbours not happy about the mess. Glad I didn't pay for the stuff. It was a cold day today so only spewed it's guts after the engine stopped. I tried it as when I have the engine running when parked by the garage this is poor airflow to cool rad. Maybe some water was still in the system. Now I only have lovely H2O

Went to the annual mewla rally on the MOD ranges. I was escorted by the wife in case I was tempted to go and have a cheeky look a mk2 zetec fezza. About 70 cars, quite a few mk2 scorts with Millington power,Darren's, an avenger,couple of sunbeams and a few skoda/polo r5 and the winner was a mk1 focus WRc

Brenda has been ill for the last six weeks. Been off her food and following through. To cheer her up and to celebrate her 44th birthday I thought a present was in order. Somehow and I don't remember when it was ordered ,but a new boot with intergal spoiler arrived and was duly fitted. Later on,Brenda was upset that I stroked a small dog and she ate her new starter motor. Cone on or cone off,guess I won't be going to brynwawr car show on Sunday.

No idea to be honest. I suspected the regulator might be restricting flow somehow. I had a dodgy connection on the bestek that was not easy to see. Coupled with a faulty new fuel pump. It's ot better however I still think there is a fuel issue. Gonna check the vent for petrol tank and check no kinks in the fuel line

Brenda has been off the road for 6 weeks with humongous starting and idling issues coupled with destruction of a few starter motors cones. I think she is almost back to normal now and will idle and not cut out at junctions. Still not 100% but at least its driveable.

There is an RS2000 4 x 4 near me. Trying to persuade the guy to sell it. Last year he wanted 650 for it. I think its a mk4 or mk5 looks nothing like what you think an RS should look like.
