Powerflex Bush Prices!

I just went to look up the cost of some Powerflex Heritage bushes for Escort / Capri Control arms. Its been a while since I purchased any of their bushes but i was stunned to see the prices now? I can get a complete set of Control Arms with bushes for less than half of the Powerflex bushes alone. Did these all go skyrocketing with Brexit or the lame excuse of blaming the Ukraine war for the increases? Consolation I can get a set of rubber ones from one seller for 12 quid for the set of 4. Postage is three times that again though LOL

question is, do you really need poly bushes?, how stiff does it need to be?, std rubber bushes are good enough even for a fast road car, unless yr doin lots of track days i'd say go for the cheap rubber,

Your preaching to the converted there. I am a strong advocate of rubber bushes over poly ones here on the forum. However Not all replacement bushes are available in rubber, for example front 22mm Stabilizer bushes and as such I acquired as set of Heritage Powerflex ones. They arent quite as firm as regular poly bushes yet look like black rubber. The thought process here is that while you can get conventional rubber control arm bushes Im just considering the need for a matching set for these 6 bushes just to keep movement and wear consistent rather than have soft ones in the arms and firm on the bar. Checking them out while deciding made me notice the huge price increase with these things.
