Hi all a job that I've been procrastinating over for a while is my really unhelpful fuel gauge, My dash voltage regulator is fine and giving a stable voltage so it must be the sender, when I earth the tank end wire the gauge shows full ok but when connected to the sender it's pretty hit and mis what i actually have in the tank as when I brim it it still only shows half tank, I seem to recall 85ohms empty and around 15 when full, does this sound correct? Ta in advance

Had trouble myself.

Found it a real minefield.

Some voltage regs give one reading on the gauge while another gives a totally different reading. It seems most old regs are pretty knackered, I tried about 10.

Ended up fiting an aftermarket gauge to my RS dash, it was tricky but works 100% now.

Did the same with the temp gauge too.
