Yeah it will hopefully go down on 2" blocks, but i dont want lotus steels as i want a wheel that you can see through. i was thinking minilites or maybe escort rs four spokes.

cheers

My Cortina has 185/60/13 on 5.5 x 13 minilights and it handles really well and looks good to,

175.50.13 tyres just dont look right to me in my opinion

Look like elastic bands on the wheels

185 55;s are a good compromise between looks and handling!

165 are a tad skinny m8

the big 1st number is the width of tyre and the second 2 digit number is the profile which i think is the percentage of the width, the final number is size of rim!

Sure il be corrected if im wrong!

yes m8

but why not fit a wider tyre?

Right start again:

What is the biggest width rim you can get on an standard anglia?

What is the best looking diameter of a wheel for an anglia?

What tyre would you use to keep the normal overall width of a standard anglia?

hope that made sence.

Depends what wheel you want m8 its al about the offset/inset of the wheel to be honest, the offset is how much width of the wheel sticks out futher than the hub! inset is how much sticks in!

Hope you understand!

You decide what wheel you want m8 and go from there!

Right im thinking minilite as they look 8) . my dad said i can have 5.5" wide rims with standard arches. i want to keep the overall diameter as standard as not to through out the spedo. the car will be lowered 2". what size diameter wheel should i put on and what size tyre? and as for ofset inset they must fit under the standard anglia arches!

13"wheel on a 175,60r13?!!!??

speedo may be slightly out as i cant remember what size tyre they have as standard!

Its all about working out the circumference of the tyre so its the same as what was fitted as standard as to not affect the speedo, a wheel and tyre supplier should be able to reccommend this too you, get in touch with Midland wheels or similar

As for offset just tell the supplier what they are going on!

Offset or the et of a wheel is the measurement in mm. of the distance between the mounting (hubface) and the centreline of the wheel. This is expressed as a + or - depending on whether the centreline of the wheel is inboard or outboard of the mounting hubface.

Radial tyre numbers translate as: example 185/60x13 = tyre is 185mm wide, the height of the sidewall (profile) is 60% of the width and it fits a 13 inch wheel
