Obviously this is open to anyone who wants to come but the regular lads at the meet have been talking about this for a while now, here are some dates, so let's have some feedback on who can/cannot make it.

The suggested area is the Lake District, I'm sure most of us have been there and know some good roads but it might be worth leaving the route planning up to someone who lives there or has been there very recently, if for no other reason than roadworks and speed camera location's.....not that we will be speeding....obviously.

That's no excuse Jo, you could make a weekend of it in the Lakes

Hmmm ... that's an idea

15/10/06 - Am at Santa Pod

22/10/06 - Not sure yet .... could be a possibility

29/10/06 - Out the night before

5/11/06 - Recovering from the night before pi$$ up

I'll watch the post and see where it goes

I reckon I could make any of the october dates, but not November the Fifth.. Small children, firewords and bonfires are a priority.

Doh!!! You would'nt think I've got four kids would you

I'll change it for the week after

How about a meet at Pennington flash where Andy270 used to hold the northern meet and have it on a weekend and see if Retroford mag would come up and cover it.Posted it on Manchester site and a few are up for it!

The lakes would be an awsome day out. I will be able to make any date and would be up for it.

Same old though, Is it strictly "old skool", and would i push anyones nose out if I turned up in the sierra?

Would it be just a normall turn up at car park type meet or could we make it more of a day out and do something like potholeing, steam train rides, aqurium, small BBQ, OSF Pub lunch, ride out on the lake on a steam ferry?

I know funds may be tight for most of us and fuelling a trip to the lakes would be a task in its self but it seems a shame if only ten or so cars turn up not to through in a little bit of entertainment to make the day more enjoyable and a bit of a laff!

If your intrested I can look into things going on and prices if you wish!

Years ago when the anglia owners club arranged a trip to the lakes we went to the Cars of the Stars museum in Keswick and then to the boat museum by lake Windemere. Had pub lunch somewhere, drove around for a bit, then came back...!
