Apparently his mate had one with allegedly 180bhp, left hooker imported from Germany (or something like that). Giving it a large one in Hatfield, lost it after a roundabout and crashed it into a street lamp, bent like a banana it were.

V8ian Posted March 23, 2007 Report Posted March 23, 2007 Defo made LOTUS BRMs my mate had a an Elam BRM, had a special cam cover painted Green with BRM cast in it rather than LOTUS and a green leather steeringwheel with BRM etched on the spoke, the car was totaled when it caught alight after the lights went out going down a country lane, I dont see why BRM did not modify Cortinas as well. after all they were a tuning firm and in the 60s and 70 there were a lot of companys offering complete packages, like Race Proven, Lumo and Superspeed
