and the bloke in the post office counter asked what the steering wheel was off, i said a mk2 cortina expecting to say, oh yeah, i had one of those....

 

 

but no! he said, have you got any more? :lol: no i replied, why?

 

turns out he's got a mk1 lotus he's just imported from africa :lol: . its not complete but is 100% original, and as you'd imagine completly rot free aparently. i dunno if its left or right hand drive though.

 

i gave him the website addy too :thumbsup::ykt:

:huh: i dunno, they're pretty similar though aren't they? and your not gonna get a good lotus one anymore. wood in cars was always a crap idea, especially leaky old fords :lol:

was it a 1600e wheel?

And lotus cortina wheels are completly different, come up on ebay every now and again, sell for about £500 :ykt::lol:

thats what my thoughts were, although if someone could restore it it could be good, but i thought they all just snapped anyway :lol:

 

and yes it was a 1600e wheel :)

it his mine but not sure if i wont to sell it yet as there hard to find as you know and not sure what price to put on it as i"ve had it many years :thumbsup:

its a les liston or something like that. with the L over a L. and it came of one of my mk1 lotus cortinas back in the day
